CNC Lathe Simulator 1.1.5

A software simulator of a numerical control (CNC) lathe has been developed as an educational tool aimed at introducing novice machine building specialists to programming parts turning operations using standard G/M-code (Fanuc System A).

The simulation model is based on a lathe machine that features a traditional layout of components, including a CNC system, an eight-position turret, a three-jaw chuck, a tailstock, a coolant supply system, and other essential machinery. Material processing is carried out on two axes within the horizontal plane.

The software product is intended for educational purposes, leveraging computer technology. It serves as a valuable resource for conducting laboratory exercises in computer classes, facilitating distance learning, and providing visual aids to support lectures in disciplines such as "Metallurgy, Engineering, and Material Processing."

The simulator's capabilities encompass tasks such as creating control program texts for turning operations in G/M-code format, verifying these programs for syntax and technological errors, displaying three-dimensional graphic models of key components of the lathe machine and metal-cutting tools on computer screens or other devices. This enables users to simulate the metal turning process, visualize part formation based on compiled control programs, observe toolpaths, and interact with the simulation model interactively.

The graphics software utilized integrates OpenGL 3.0 components. The program's graphical user interface is available in English and Russian languages.

It should be noted that the application has a minimum video RAM requirement of 200 MB.
